DESCRIPTION:Certification Course by Ministry of Ayush\, Govt of India (hybrid) \nDuration :  108 days / 250 hrs (Sept 11\, 2022 – Dec 31\,2022) \nCourse Highlights: The YIC syllabus is equivalent to Ayush level-1 syllabus. Classes will be led by senior Ayush-certified Acharyas. For participants living abroad\, online live classes will be made available on zoom platform. Course will be imparted in both English and Malayalam. \nBenefits of YIC training: • Improves physical and mental health • Improves communication skills • Instills self-discipline • Encourages time-management skills • Provides spiritual awareness and a positive direction to life \nCertification: On passing the Ayush examination\, the Ayush Level-1 Certificate will be awarded by the Yoga Certification Board (YCB)\, Ministry of Ayush\, Govt. of India. A course completion certificate will be provided by Arsha Yoga Gurukulam. \nEligibility: • 10th standard/secondary pass • Average mental and physical health • Readiness for dedicating time for the duration of the course. • Age: No Age limit \nExam: • Ayush exam will be conducted online as per the regulations of Ayush and Arsha Yoga at the time. • Exam will be in both English and Malayalam • Total Marks: 200 (Theory + Practical) \nTheory: • History\, definitions\, aim & objectives of yoga • Introduction to Yoga Texts (Yoga sutra\, Hatayoga Pradipika & Bhagavad Gita) • Introduction to Vedas and Vedanta • Introduction to Hatha yoga and Raja yoga • Brief introduction to the human body. • Concepts and principles of Aahara (Diet) • Concepts of healthy living • Yogic life style for health promotion and prevention of disease • Yoga for positive attitude & personality development \n Practicals: • Demonstration Skills • Teaching skills • Vyayamas • Sukshma Vyayama • Sthula Vyayama • Sthithi • Surya Namaskara • Asanas and its variations • Dhyana asanas • Vishrama asanas • Samskarana asanas • Pranayama • Preparatory breathing techniques • Recitation of Shanthi mantras • Practices leading to Dhyanam • Basic Shuddhi Kriyas • Basic mudras and bandhas \nCourse schedule: \nTheory 3 days (Mon\, Wed\, Fri) 1.5 hrs (5:30 – 7:15 am) \nPractical 3 days (Tue\, Thurs\, Sat) 1.5 hrs (5:30 – 7:15 am) \nSatsang 1 day (Sat) 1.5 hrs (7:00 – 8:30 pm) \nKarma yoga 1 hr / week as per participant’s convenience \nSelf-study (extra reading) 1 hr / week as per participant’s convenience \nSunday off
