January 2020with Shakti and Maheshwara \nThis Yin Yoga Teacher Training offers two modules and after each module students will be awarded a Arsha Yoga/Yoga Alliance 50 hour certificate. \nThe trainings are based on the anatomical principles of Paul and Suzee Grilley and each module is complete in itself\, providing you with the foundations of Yin Yoga and then specialize on a different theme\, deepening your understanding of this mindful asana-practice as well as yoga-philosophy in general. \nThe tissue in our body needs an appropriate exercise in order to stay healthy\, grow and heal. The law of our body is: use it or lose it. \nYin Yoga originated in the US and was founded by Paul Grilley. It is a soft and slow asana practice without any correct or exact form. While the connective tissue\, fascia and soft tissues of the joints are “trained“ in a specific way\, our muscles remain relaxed. The postures are held without any effort or strain. Yin Yoga has has a strengthening and regenerative effect on the tissues while the entire system enjoys deep states of relaxation. Physical restrictions disappear and energy flows. \nYin yoga positively influences the joints and myofascial structures mainly of the pelvis\, legs and spine. In this training we will specialise in the muscles of the upper body and skeletal variations of the shoulder girdle\, cervical spine\, humerus and ulnar\, which has an influence on all asanas involving the upper back\, arms and hands. We will then deeply explore the fascia as the “meridian-tissue“ and look at the Yin-Meridians of the body in theory and practice. \n  \nWhat you will learn in this training:\nIn this training we will analyse\, observe and practice all of the elements of Yin Yoga in depth. We will break down the theory and practice of Yin\, Chakras and Meridians\, Anatomy of yoga for Yin and Yang and Modern Meridian Theory as applied to Yin Yoga. The trainings are based on the philosophical and anatomical principles of Paul and Suzee Grilley. Students will be awarded a yoga alliance 50 hour certificate. \n\n\n\nIntroduction to Taoist Anatomical Analysis and Yin/Yang Yoga Sutras of Paul Grilley.\nInteractive hands-on study of anatomy.\nFinding skeletal landmarks and testing range of motion.\nUnderstanding and discriminating sensation: Tension vs Compression\, Muscle vs Fascia\, Physical vs Subtle Energy.\nExploring Yin Yoga Poses and the Variations of Functional Alignment.\nCommunication: When to listen/observe\, when to speak/lead.\nYin Yoga in theory and practice\, theory of exercise\, Yin & Yang-Theory\, the functional approach to yoga\nOverview: 14 skeletal segments\, 10 muscle groups\nIn depth study of the upper-body-musculature\nSkeletal variations: shoulder girdle\, cervical spine\, humerus\, ulnar\nThe 7 archetypal asanas and variations\nFunctional analysis of asanas like shoulderstand\, headstand\, wheel\, pigeon\, caturanga\, downward dog and implications for your Yin Yoga practice\n\n\n\n\nEnergy-theory & Chakra Meditation\nExploring the target areas for the Yin and Yang Meridians of the Body\nThe Effect of Yin Yoga on Meridians and how to apply this in your Yin Yoga Class\n\nAfter complete attendance at all parts of the course including the meditations sessions\, Karma Yoga and Satsangs and the successful completion of your exam (Writing a short paper on a given topic of yin yoga)\, you will receive a certificate “Yin Yoga Instructor (50 hours)“ or after attending both modules „Yin Yoga Teacher (100 hours) “ by Arsha Yoga Gurukulam. \nDaily schedule:6:30 to 7:20 AM Meditation (25 Min. sitting meditation on the roof\, 20 Min. walking meditation\n7:30h Tea\n08:00 – 9:00h Lecture/Workshop\n09:00 – 10:00h Yang to Yin Yoga Class\n10:15 Brunch\n10:45 – 11:30h Seva\n13:00h Tea\n13:30 – 15:00h Lecture/Workshop\n15:30 – 17:15h Yin Yoga Class\n18:15h Dinner\n19:30 – 20:30/21:00h Meditation\, chanting or Workshop \nStart of the course: Saturday 4.
